Thoughts for Meditation

For I am jealous of you with the jealousy of God. For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. II Corinthians 11:2

O all ye that pass by the way, attend, and see if there be any sorrow like to my sorrow. Lamentations 1:12

Why is thy apparel red, and thy garments like theirs that tread in the winepress? I have trodden the winepress alone. Isaiah 62: 2-3

There is no beauty in him, nor comeliness: and we have seen him. There was no slightness, that we should be desirous of him. Isaiah 53:2

His mother kept all these words in her heart. Luke 2:51

All that heard Him were astonished at His wisdom and His answers. And seeing Him, they wondered. Luke 2:47-48

But Mary kept all these words, pondering them in her heart. Luke 2:19

Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done unto me according to thy word. Luke 1:38

Arise, make haste, my love, my dove, my beautiful one, and come. For winter is now past, the rain is over and gone. Canticles 2:10-11

My dove show me thy face, let thy voice sound in my ears: for thy voice is sweet, and thy face comely. Canticles 2:14

My perfect one is but one. The daughters saw her, and declared her most blessed: the queens and they praised her. Canticles 6:8

The Queen takes her place at His right hand, clothed in gold of Ophir. Psalms 44:10

O Jesus, it is for the love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the Pope...

Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Anne, Therese, I love You; Save Souls!

Ferial, comm of St Valentine, MARTYR

St. Francis of Assisi, the Seraphic Lover
A prayer for Students

St. Valentine:

This holy Roman priest assisted with other pious Christians a great number of martyrs. He was beheaded under Aurelian in 270 A.D.

(from the 1962 Roman Catholic Daily Missal)

Introit of Holy Mass today:

In virtute tua, Domine,

laetabitur justus:

et super salutare tuum exsultabit vehementer:

desiderium animae

ejus tribuisti ei.

Quoniam praevenisti eum in benedictionibus dulcedinis:

posuisti in capite ejus coronam de lapide pretioso.

Gloria Patri.

Psalm 20: 2-4

In Thy strength, O Lord, the just man shall joy:

and in Thy salvation he shall rejoice exceedingly:

Thou hast given him his heart's desire.

For Thou hast prevented him with blessings of sweetness:

Thou hast set on his head a crown of precious stones.

Gloria Patri.

From the Old Testament, a very beautiful verse:

Et ecce tempus tuum, tempus amantium ...

Et decora facta es vehementer nimis.

Ezechiel xvi 8.13

And behold Thy time was the time of lovers ...

And Thou wast made exceeding beautiful.

O Dearest Jesus, I love Thee, I love Thee, I love Thee!

O Blessed Lady, ora pro nobis!

O Dearest Angels and Saints in heaven, ora pro nobis!

From St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus and Holy Face, my patron:

My God, how I love Thee!

Mon Dieu, comment je T'aime !
