Ninth Sunday After Pentecost, The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Preamble

From the Catechism, in order to fulfill God's Will, one must first and foremost fulfill one's duty-of-state. What is "duty-of-state"? "Duty-of-state" simply means one's duties towards his or her state-of-life, whereby "state-of-life" means one's stature in life, e.g. if you are a priest, a nun, a monk, a brother, a friar, or an ordinary person, if you are a husband/wife, teacher, daughter, son, mother, father, owner of a hotel, etc.

To fulfill one's "Duty-of-state" simply tells us that one must fulfill his or her responsibilities of life, what one has to do depending on what "state-of-life" one is born, one is put, one is chosen into.

When Padre Pio suggested that the life of a Christian is nothing but a constant struggle against itself, ...
