Blessed Joyous Christmas!

A very very very Happy Birthday my very Joyful King!

It is very beautiful to contemplate a very happy baby Jesus, who really was so happy to be born and who made (and is still making in Heaven) His Mother and dearest St Joseph (and all everyone in Heaven) and now us, too, feel so much joy at His coming!

This joy is amazing!
Deo gratias et Mariae for everything!

This Tintin cover is brilliant! (26 Dec 1946)!
This Tintin cover is also brilliant! (23 Dec 1948)!

Prayer of Rev. Cyrillus a Matre Dei

the first and most devoted venerator of the Miraculous Infant Jesus of Prague

Jesus, unto Thee I flee,
Through Thy Mother praying Thee
In my need to succour me.
Truly, I believe of Thee
God Thou art with strength to shield me ;
Full of trust, I hope of Thee
Thou Thy grace wilt give to me.
All my heart I give to Thee,
Therefore, do my sins repent me;
From them breaking, I beseech Thee,
Jesus, from their bonds to free me.
Firm my purpose is to mend me;
Never more will I offend Thee.
Wholly unto Thee I give me,
Patiently to suffer for Thee,
Thee to serve eternally.
And my neighour like to me
I will love for love of Thee.
Little Jesus, I beseech Thee,
In my need to succour me,
That with Joseph and Mary
And the angels, I may Thee
Once enjoy eternally.

Amen

Second Sunday of Advent: Our Infant King!

+ J.M.J.A.T
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (et Immaculata)

I put this up here, with a heart beating fast, and because it is this time of the year again, when one waits and prepares oneself, full of faith, full of hope, full of joy, full of love (charity), for the coming of this "little" Prince, the "little" Lamb who rules the world! (I type "little" but of course, we all know that He is not so "little", hence the " ") Here we go!

Our Infant King !!!
(Infant Jesus of Prague)

With also this same heart beating faster and faster with love for Him, I read this, this morning, and my heart skipped a beat! Beautiful it is, I feel:

If some king of the earth

If some king of the earth
Have so large an extent of dominion,
in north and south,
As that he hath winter and summer
together in his dominions;
So large an extent east and west,
As that he hath day and night,
together in his dominions;
Much more hath God
mercy and judgment together.
He brought light out of darkness,
not out of a lesser light;
He can bring thy summer out of winter,
though thou have no spring.
Though in the ways of fortune,
or understanding, or conscience,
Thou have been benighted till now,
wintered and frozen,
clouded and eclipsed,
damped and benumbed,
smothered and stupefied till now,
Now God comes to thee,
not as in the dawning of the day,
not as in the bud of the spring,
But as the sun at noon to illustrate all shadows,
As the sheaves in harvest to fill all penuries.
All occasions invite his mercies,
And all times are his seasons.
John Donne (1572 - 1631)Sermon for Christmas Day 1624

Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Anne, Therese, I love You; Save Souls!

Jesu mitis et humilis corde, Fac cor nostrum secundum Cor tuum. (ter)

Deus propicias esto mihi peccatori.

O Queen of the Holy Rosary

I know this comes a little late, since October is the month of the Holy Rosary, and November is the month of the Holy Souls … but I am behind time these days as I grapple with changes in daily life :D

This is a beautiful song, inspiring and sublime.

O Queen of the Holy Rosary,
O bless us as we pray,
And offer thee our roses
In garlands day by day,
While from our Father's garden,
With loving hearts and bold,
We gather to thine honour
Buds white and red and gold.

O Queen of the Holy Rosary,
Each mystery blends with thine
The sacred life of Jesus
In every step divine.
Thy soul was His fair garden,
Thy virgin breast His throne,
Thy thoughts His faithful mirror,
Reflecting Him alone.

Sweet Lady of the Rosary,
White roses let us bring,
And lay them round thy footstool,
Before our Infant King.
For resting in thy bosom,
God's Son was fain to be
The child of thy obedience
And spotless purity.

Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Anne, Therese, I love You; Save Souls!

Jesu mitis et humilis corde, Fac cor nostrum secundum  Cor tuum (ter)

Deus propitius esto mihi peccatori.
