My Mother, My Heart

https://www.drbo.org/cgi-bin/d?b=drl&bk=49&ch=1&l=46#x

 46
And Mary said: My soul doth magnify the Lord
Et ait Maria : Magnificat anima mea Dominum :  [Luke 1:46]

47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
et exsultavit spiritus meus in Deo salutari meo.

48 Because he hath regarded the humility of his handmaid; for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
Quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae : ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes generationes,

49 Because he that is mighty, hath done great things to me; and holy is his name.
quia fecit mihi magna qui potens est : et sanctum nomen ejus,

50 And his mercy is from generation unto generations, to them that fear him.
et misericordia ejus a progenie in progenies timentibus eum.

51 He hath shewed might in his arm: he hath scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart.
Fecit potentiam in brachio suo : dispersit superbos mente cordis sui.

52 He hath put down the mighty from their seat, and hath exalted the humble.
Deposuit potentes de sede, et exaltavit humiles.

53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
Esurientes implevit bonis : et divites dimisit inanes.

54 He hath received Israel his servant, being mindful of his mercy:
Suscepit Israel puerum suum, recordatus misericordiae suae :

55 As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed for ever.
sicut locutus est ad patres nostros, Abraham et semini ejus in saecula.

O Queen of the Holy Rosary

I know this comes a little late, since October is the month of the Holy Rosary, and November is the month of the Holy Souls … but I am behind time these days as I grapple with changes in daily life :D

This is a beautiful song, inspiring and sublime.

O Queen of the Holy Rosary,
O bless us as we pray,
And offer thee our roses
In garlands day by day,
While from our Father's garden,
With loving hearts and bold,
We gather to thine honour
Buds white and red and gold.

O Queen of the Holy Rosary,
Each mystery blends with thine
The sacred life of Jesus
In every step divine.
Thy soul was His fair garden,
Thy virgin breast His throne,
Thy thoughts His faithful mirror,
Reflecting Him alone.

Sweet Lady of the Rosary,
White roses let us bring,
And lay them round thy footstool,
Before our Infant King.
For resting in thy bosom,
God's Son was fain to be
The child of thy obedience
And spotless purity.

Jesus, Mary, Joseph, Anne, Therese, I love You; Save Souls!

Jesu mitis et humilis corde, Fac cor nostrum secundum  Cor tuum (ter)

Deus propitius esto mihi peccatori.

St. Scholastica, Sister of St. Benedict, Founder of the Benedictines

Salve radix, salve porta; Ex qua mundo lux est orta.
Root of Jesse, Gate of Morn, Whence the World's True Light was Born.

May the eyes of our soul be ever intent on the Light, which Mary brought us. May the Light so shine in us and through us that we may be able to lead unto Christ those that grope in darkness.

By John Cardinal Henry Newman:

Mary, thou art the star, shining with the light of Jesus, fair as the moon, and bright as the sun, the star of the heavens which it is good to look upon; the star of the sea which is welcome to the tempest-tossed; at whose smile evil spirit flies, the passions are hushed, and peace is poured upon the soul.

By thee, O Mary, have all the heresies of the world been overcome!
Please help us, Pray for us, Protect us!
