Hello All, hmmm, alot of stuff has been happening to me lately and for the better. I'm now beginning to enjoy this new life and hope it will not go away too soon! All the free time now, I'm doing many things. From practising the piano, to learning latin. Learning Music History, Church History and all the jazz now... O ya! I'm also learning driving now although I'm taking the automatic transmission course... Afterall I guess I will most prob be driving an auto car in time to come. (",) I hope life's good for everyone. Clare and I are now helping out at St. Theresa's Home for the Aged (formerly the Little Sisters of the Poor). We have done lots and lots of laundry and also have helped out to feed the people who need help. =) It gives me a new and different perspective of what life should be. Life is all about sharing and giving and learning. What's the use of having everything in life and not helping others or even being there for the people you love?

I've also been following my mum for a hospital course she's attending. It's about CCU (Critical Care Unit - formerly Intensive Care Unit (ICU)). The course teacher is also a nurse. Like my mother, I respect the both of them alot. She is very down to earth and to me she's like a bubbling bowl of knowledge. Being at the course with all my mother's colleagues, I've learnt alot. More than what I would ever get at any medical attachment. This course is basically mostly theoretical but I've gained an insight into the life of a nurse and most importantly I've learnt how a hospital functions. Before this, the last time I went for a med attachment was at Dr. Gordan Tan's Clinic - Joy Clinic for Women. I also respect him alot. He told ee min and me that what we need, essential in life is respect for our elders. I'll post an entry about what I did in the attachment later on. I'll soon be going back there again. After CNY that's it.

Right now, Lent is approaching. Ash Wed is actually on the first day of CNY. I don't know how everyone's going to fast, or even to do their penance. But the archbishop has actually pushed the date back to the fri of the week. It's rather funny tho'. Why should we compromise an important day in our catholic calendar just because a pagan custom (tho i'm chinese) happens to fall on the same day? This has been becoming more of about pleasing the people instead of pleasing God. WHy should we compromise?

Never mind i'll write more about it later. Currently, I'm in the midst of setting up a website on what the catholic faith means to me and about its truths and everything else I've learnt. When everything's all done up I'll put up the link for your perusal.

I'm playing for mass again this coming Sun and also on the Ash wed cum 1st Day CNY mass. There's going to be alot of changes in the way our choir delivers our music. If the changes are too much and too unbecoming I've decided that I'll definitely voice my opinion or perhaps move on to SSPX. But, I guess I'd better voice my opinion first before (if) I ever leave.

Dearest God, I ask for the grace, the courage and the strength to perservere even when things go the wrong way.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us those who have recoursed to thee.

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love entrusts him here. Ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guard. Amen.

Ave Maria, gratia plena. Dominus tecum. Benedictatu in mulieribus, et benedictus fruitus ventris tui Jesus. Sancta Maria, Mater dei, ora pro nobis, peccatoribus, nunc et in hora, mortis nostrae. Amen.

Gloria Patri, et filio, et spiritui sanctu. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

Till then,
Adios!
Rachel Anne
