What will we do, with the time that is given to us?

Spiritual Communion by St. Alphonsus Liguori
(Page 83 of Christian Warfare)

My Jesus, * I believe that Thou art really present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. * I love Thee above all things, * and I desire to possess Thee within my soul. * Since I cannot now receive Thee sacramentally, * come at least spiritually into my heart. (Pause)
As though Thou wert already there, * I embrace Thee, * and unite myself wholly to Thee; * permit not that I should ever be separated from Thee.
May the Body of Our Lord Jesus Christ keep my soul unto Everlasting Life. * Amen.
Send Your Angel to Holy Mass
(page 72 of Christian Warfare)

O Holy Angel at my side, go to the church for me,
Kneel in my place at Holy Mass, where I desire to be.
At Offertory, in my stead, take all I am and own,
And place it as a sacrifice, upon the altar throne.
At Holy Consecration’s bell, adore with seraph’s love
My Jesus hidden in the Host, come down from Heav’n above.
Then pray for those I dearly love,
And those who cause me grief,
That Jesus’ Blood may cleanse all hearts,
And suffering souls relieve.
And when the priest Communion takes,
Oh, bring my Lord to me,
That His sweet Heart may rest on mine, and I His temple be.
Pray that this Sacrifice Divine, may mankind’s sins efface;
Then bring me Jesus’ blessing home,
The pledge of every grace.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
And of the Holy Ghost. Amen.

Yesterday was Spy Wednesday - How could anyone betray Jesus, how would He have felt? The agony is intense.

Today is Maundy Thursday - He gives Himself totally to us and yet now, we cannot receive Him - great sacrifice indeed. The prisoner remains a prisoner for most lay people. Praying for all Priests who also have had to shift their work to the online realm, even though it is not real, and does not replace the actual thing, I’m grateful we can still watch and participate from at home even though it is so different and we cannot receive Him who is all life and all LOVE and all justice etc. Totally omnipotent, yet one who imprisons Himself, just to be there for us. Oh, absence does make the heart fonder...

My reflections for Good Friday / Karfreitag should come in soon, if not later.

I love you Jesus, my love. I repent of having offended Thee. Never will I offend Thee again. Grant that I may love Thee always and then do with me what Thou wilt. Amen.
